Apple TV+’s Luck Movie Trailer, Release Date, Cast, Synopsis & More

Summer time means movie time, so we’re lucky there’s a new anime movie coming up in the warmer months ahead and a must-watch! Apple TV+ and Skydance Animation have teamed up to create a computer-animated fantasy comedy, Chance.

Broadway star Eva Noblezada, actress Whoopi Goldberg, actor Simon Pegg, among others, lend their voices to bring the characters to life. The film is directed by Peggy Holmes, who was also the visionary behind the Disney film The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Debut.

Writers include Kiel Murray, Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. Dana Goldberg, David Ellison and John Lasseter are the producers. Lasseter directed the Disney animated films toy story and Cars.

There is a very impressive creative team and star-studded cast behind this film. And, the plot certainly got me excited! Here’s everything we know ahead of its release.

Chance movie release date

The film will debut worldwide on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 5. The film will be available to stream that morning starting at 12 p.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET.

Chance movie synopsis

The new film centers on the land of luck. This is where animals and creatures work behind the scenes to create the lucky and unlucky moments that make up our daily lives. The system works because no human has set foot on the ground, so far.

Check out the official synopsis below:

Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation tell the story of Sam Greenfield, the luckiest person in the world. Suddenly finding herself in the Land of Luck never seen before, she must unite with the magical creatures therein to turn the tide.
