A new trailer for the movie Fruits Basket reveals a first look at a touching new scene between Tohru and Kyo in the anime series continuity.
A new trailer for Fruit basket The film reveals a first look at Tohru and Kyo’s new scenes. The popular manga written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya was first adapted into a 26-episode anime series in 2001 by Studio Deen, which featured many story changes that the original creator disapproved of. A rebooted anime series from TMS Entertainment began in 2019 and was a much more faithful adaptation of the source material, which was well received everywhere.
The film officially titled Basket of Fruits – Prelude will now expand on the 2019 adaptation with prequel content for the characters, including Kyoko and Katsuya, the parents of series protagonist Tohru Honda. Both characters’ stories from the manga were cut for the most recent anime adaptation. In addition to the prequel storylines, the Fruit basket The film will feature new scenes set after the events of the 2019 series focusing on Tohru and Kyo’s ongoing relationship. The anime’s cast and crew are all reprising their roles for the film.
Now a new trailer for Basket of Fruits – Prelude reveals the first look at new Tohru and Kyo scenes in the film (via Avex Pictures). The trailer is marked by the new theme song written for the film, “Niji to Kaito”, which translates to “Rainbow and Kite” and is performed by the band Ohashi Trio. After starting off with a look at Kyoko and Katsuya’s backstory, the trailer focuses on Tohru and Kyo’s new scenes, ending with the couple happily holding hands and walking home together. . the Fruit basket brand has been a hit since Takaya’s manga was first published in 1998. The series tells the story of a recently orphaned girl, Tohru Honda, who is taken in by the mysterious Sohma family, which includes Yuki and Kyo. Tohru soon discovers the family’s bizarre secret: they are possessed by Chinese zodiac animals and are cursed to transform into their animal forms whenever they feel weak, stressed, or kissed by a member of the opposite sex. The title, Fruit basketcomes from the name of the popular game played in Japanese elementary schools, which is alluded to throughout the series.
While the movie will include various scenes set before and after the events of the anime, it will mostly be a compilation that tells the original story. the Fruit basket The film will premiere in Japan on February 18 in theaters as well as on home video on DVD and Blu-ray.
