New Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer arrives

A few days ago, the streaming service Netflix came out (via Weekly entertainment) the first two images of the new Texas Chainsaw film directed by David Blue Garcia and produced by Fede Alvarez. The film will be released on Netflix on February 18th, and two months after that release date, a new Chainsaw Massacre The trailer for the film has now arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

This teaser doesn’t show much, but it does give us a glimpse of “Old Man Leatherface,” played by Mark Burnham, and shows potential victims in danger. He also reveals that in addition to being producers on the project, Alvarez and his Not To breathe / Don’t breathe 2 / evil Dead The collaborator of 2013, Rodo Sayagues, also receives the credits “Story by” on the film. Chris Thomas Devlin wrote the screenplay.

This Chainsaw Massacre is a “decades later” sequel to the original film (check out this one HERE). Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Nell Hudson and Jacob Latimore play the roles of

a group of friends who make the mistake of traveling too far from the big city.

As Yarkin told EW,

Me and my business partner Dante [played by Latimore] are those hip young people who come to this ghost town in Texas and try to get other people to come there and make it the next hip place. Our fatal flaw is that we ignore the history that came before us. “

Moe Dunford, Jessica Allain, Sam Douglas, William Hope, Jolyon Coy and Alice Krige are also part of the cast, with Olwen Fouéré as Sally Hardesty.

Just like the 2017 Leatherface, this Chainsaw Massacre was shot in Bulgaria… which seems very wrong to me, but I’ll try not to blame the film too much. The director is from Texas, and I’m happy to have a new Chain saw movie whatever.
