The next two parts Penguindrum Re:Cycle the film has released a trailer for its first part, Kimi no Ressha wa Seizon Senryakuwhich features new footage that was not part of the original Penguindrum series. The trailer also features the theme song for the second part “Boku no Sonzai Shoumei” by Etsuko Yakushimaru Metro Orchestra.
In addition, the character designs of Momoka Oginome in the costume of the Crystal Princess, the new penguin Princhupenguin (Sumire Uesaka), and young versions of Kanba and Shoma were also released.
Penguindrum Re:Cycle is described as a 2011 reconstruction Penguindrum which also offers new scenes. Penguindrum Re:Cycle: Kimi no Ressha wa Seizon Senryaku premieres April 29 in Japan.
As with the 2011 series, staff credits include Kunihiko Ikuhara as a director, Terumi Nishii as a character designer, Lily Hoshino as an original character designer, Kunio Tsujita as colorist, Studio Kokoro’s Chieko Nakamura as Artistic Director, Graphinica’s Takeo Ogiwara as director of photography, and Yukari Hashimoto as a music composer. Penguindrum episode director Nobuyuki Takeuchi holds the position of Deputy Director for Penguindrum Re:Cycle: Kimi no Ressha wa Seizon Senryakuwhile the host Tomomi Kawatsuma is the film’s other character designer. However, Rabbit Track is the animation production company instead of Base of the brain this time (Lapin Track was founded by former members of Brain’s Base).
Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Subaru Kimura like Kanba Takakura, Ryouhei Kimura like Shouma Takakura, Miho Arakawa like Himari Takakura, Marie Miyake like Ringo Oginome, Akira Ishida like Keiju Tabuki, Mamiko Noto like Yuri Tokikago, Yui Horie like Masako Natsume and Esmeralda, and Yutaka Koizumi like Sanetoshi Watase, and Aki Toyosaki like Momoka Oginome.
