From the outset, both Hunter and Madame Web were tied to the Spider-Man Cinematic Universe that Sony is building. Although it is separate from the more famous Marvel Cinematic Universe, under Marvel Studios and Disney, it is indirectly related to a complex physique built in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Some previous movie projects such as Venom (2018), the sequel Venom: Let Be Carnage (2021) and Morbius (2022), will be part of Sonys Spider-Verse. The thriller which will star Aaron Taylor-Johnson will redefine the character from villain to villain. The original Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney will take over with the Julia Carpenter version of the titular character who took inspiration from the original Madame Web. The same story went into the rumored two films being a new Spider-Man movie, a separate Tom Holland film.

Sony’s Spider-Verse movies Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web have been moved to new theater dates.

On that note, a third movie under Sony was also slated for July 12, 2024. The title of this movie is unknown, but it’s said to be a new Spider-Man movie.

The children are all new, but we need a child.

The new Karate Kid movie is unfinished, without the production team, either as the cast or the director. While Cobra Kai has reignited the franchise’s popularity, it’s unclear if the new Karate Kid movie will be based on the series or as a spin-off.

A new film for Karate Kid is unclear if it is based on 1985 or new like the 2010 film which stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith.

It’s important to note that if this is a Karate Kid reboot, it wouldn’t be the first time around. In 2010, a Karate Kid feature film was released, published by Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. No one else has a direct relationship to the 1980s film, the plot and characters were similar to the title. This new Karate Kid movie was made in Beijing instead of the United States in China. The martial arts featured were Kung Fu and Wushu instead of Japanese Karate.

The first film, The Snake, will be released on October 6, 2023. Madame Web will debut in theaters on February 16, 2024. No release date has been set for the new Karate Kid film.
