The Y movie trailer is now available; Probable film on organ trafficking

The well-known actor Mukta Barve’s film Yes will finally be released and the trailer for the intriguing film was released on June 22. The film is written and directed by Ajit Suryakant Wadikar and is produced by Control-N Productions. The film is billed as ‘hyperlink thrill’, a concept that will be seen for the first time in Marathi cinema.

The trailer begins with a mother asking about her child before going to the hospital, suggesting that this is most likely a story about organ trafficking. Mukta Barve, a female officer, goes to the hospital to investigate the irregularities there. In the second exchange, a man asks her what she proposes to do in the hospital.

In the trailer, she tries to contact patients whose records are missing while investigating a scam at the hospital. Later, we discuss it in conversations. Patients are hospitalized on Fridays, especially the last Friday of the month, and something is happening. Those who participated in the scam are afraid of the investigation. Based on real events, this is the story of our existence and the battle we had to maintain it.

Mukta Barve, Prajakta Mali, Nandu Madhav and Suhas Sirsat will play the lead characters in the film directed by Ajit Wadekar.

Right after graduating from high school, Barve received her first acting role in the drama Ghar Tighancha Hava. She then received her first commercial play, Suyog’s Aamhala Vegle Vhayache in 2001, after moving to Mumbai. She made her television debut in Marathi in 1998 with the TV show Ghadlay Bighadlay, in which she portrays Champa in a rural setting. She made her Marathi film debut in 2004 with the film Chakwafor which she received the Most Promising Newcomer of the Year award from the Maharashtra State Film Awards.

According to Ibrahim Afghan of The Times of India, Mukta “acted honestly and did well in character” in the film. She then appeared in the film directed by Milind Lele Bandishala opposite Sharad Ponkshe, Pravin Tarde and many other actors.

She portrayed the fierce policeman Madhavi Sawant in the film, who faces the wrath of many formidable enemies who want to get rid of her. Critics praised his performance, saying that Mukta “fulfills the full responsibility of pushing the story forward like a pro”. At Maharashtra State Film Awards 2019, Barve won Best Actress for the film.
